First a little about the car. The vehicle is a 1995 dc2 gsr, the powerplant is a 1999 B20z mated to a 98 type r trannsmission rebuild by spoon to oem specs with oem itr lsd. Mods are simple, Passwordjdm whale penis intake, jdm itr header, jdm itr cat, mugen twin loop exhaust. All tuned with a chipped p28 ecu.
Previously the tune was hondata for my other setup on b18c1/ls crank b16 pistons and jun 3's. Since the motor is basically stock this time around and I am tired of adjusting maps I ordered a basemap from http://phearable.net/ and could not be happier.
Car is consistently getting 24-27 mpg which a stock crv is rated at 21mpg (of course I have considered the heavier less aerodynamic shape of an light suv) I feel pretty proud of this given the gearing and the fact that I am running pretty high rpm at hwy speeds, The motors running around 14 a/f ratio on the innovate wideband o2 gauge.
Initially the plan was to do a street tune to touch up the rough spots but i've seen almost no point.
Major props to the guys at Phearable for a fantastic basemap. I am not saying all basemaps are equal and will get such results but this time around they were spot on

Ordered my Phearable chip for my Integra GSR w/ Skunk2 intake manifold, intake, Hytech race header, exhaust, etc. I was skeptical at first from different people's opinions on "basemap" chips, but after emailing John I decided to order one. The car runs perfect and idles better than stock . I also noticed a decent pickup in mid-range power before V-TEC. If you're looking for a chip for your setup I would highly suggest talking to the guys at Phearable.net

Testimonial / Comments: I called john way to
late(I did not know he was on the east coast) and he
called me right back. I let him know I was interested
in learning how to tune using crome. He helped me pick
out an ecu with the bells and whistles that helped make
learning easier. I did not buy it for a performance
upgrade, but I did notice significant gains in the mid-range.
The ecu came fast and I was burning my own chips within
a day. phearable.net, and crome get a big thumbs up
from me. So don’t waste your time reading any more of
my comments just call john and download crome.

competition in the club's Street Modified class.
Testimonial / Comments: When my teammate and
I completed the engine swap and moved to the new class,
we were in need of a chip that would allow our SOHC-VTEC
ecu to think it was a DOHC-VTEC unit. We tried a few
other chips from other tuners, and while they worked,
they only gave improvements in one area (waaay up high
in the rev range) and dramatically hurt the low and
mid range driveability; which is very important in autocross
competition. I actually stumbled upon John Vega's website
while looking for a solution on Honda-Tech. Phearable.net
allows the buyer to specify exactly what is done to
the car both present and future. He looks to see what
is being done with the car; and John tailors each application
to suit those needs. In the end he suggested that a
mildly modified OEM P30 program would best suit our
competition needs... And it has! I trust John, and I'll
never look elsewhere again.

Not only did I purchase my chipped p06 from John (which
might I add looked just as good as a factory ecu, great
work!), But he also tuned my car... For the knowledge
this man has, and his pricing, he can not be beat. I
was, and still am VERY satisfied with the way the car
runs. He was presented with a challenged when I installed
the 1000cc injectors, but he conquered it, and the car
runs like a dream... Not only do I get 335 miles to
a tank of gas, but I have plenty of power at my disposal
with just the press of a pedal. Having this man tune
my car was one of the best decisions I have made...
I give two big thumbs up to John Vega (mtber) @ Phearable.net...
He gets my approval, and my trust anyday!!! (And I dont
trust many people when it comes to my baby) -Chris

up alot of mid range and top end power the car made

& 116lbs I would recommend them to anyone looking for

Testimonial / Comments: John came through big
for me. I was left in a tight spot with a fully built
motor ready togo and some time left for my standalone
wiring harness to be finished. John's base map started
the car up the first try and got me thirty miles for
him to street tune it. The street tune took about an
hour to hour and a half. John was very friendly and
offered input on everything. I now have about 850 miles
on the motor. I would personally recommend him to everyone
for ECU related services and Crome Pro tuning. Thank
you John!

I purchased a Phearable.net ecu for my custom turbo
setup from Phearable.net After placing my order I received
my ecu within 2 days. Superfast shipping, i was extremely
pleased. The ecu got my car running again after I installed
450cc injectors. John took the time to explain to me
what i needed after i told him what i did and what was
happening. Not only did he help me to finalize the sale
but even after i received my ecu i still had a few questions
and he took the time and patience to help answer some
questions and find other products. He even provided
me with links for the datalogging cable i was having
trouble finding. I was extremely pleased with the product
and the perfect customer service. The ecu was so clean
on the inside. If there is any questions send John an
email and he will help you make the right choice. I
will recommend him to anyone and everyone. Thank you

I ordered this ECU from Pherable.net recieved in about
4 days which is extremely fast considering most stuff
takes a week or 2. When I recieved the ECU and plugged
it in, it was amazing. My buddy has a hatch with the
same swap and he also has a chipped ECU. His ECU is
from another company though. I pulled him pretty good
and got a good car lenth on him the ECU works wonders.
A++++ ECU and A+++++ Service Thanks again John

I ordered a basemap chip from phearable.net and i recieved
it 4 days later. Great guy to deal with. The basemap
I got from him is great. I took my car to the dyno the
other day to get it tuned and the tuner had very little
changes to make with my fuel management. I asked him
too many questions and he answered all of them for me.
Baserun with the chip i got 180 hp 174tq. After tuning
i got 195hp and 184tq. Thanks!

Testimonial/Comments: I contacted John to provide
me with an ECU that will tie in
all my mods together, give me a few HP and Torque, but
while still giving me great
gas mileage. He designed an awesome basemap for my car,
which works great.
I still get 30-31 MPG, but at the same time, I gained
some great power all throughout
the RPM range. For a 5 minute DIY plug and play modification,
and for a measly $150,
you get a complete ECU that's modded with a basemap
that will utilize all your mods,
while giving awesome gas mileage and great performance.
Thanks again John!

Testimonial: I built a strong GSR motor for my
hatch that i planned on turboing. When i was finished
with my setup I knew right where to go, John Vega with
Phearable.net. He had previously tuned a good friend
of mines car, and the motor has lasted forever! I set
my "Dyno Date" with John and got ready for
the big day. Well, long story short, I had an issue
with my oil pan gasket on they way and was forced to
call it off and re-schedulewith John on a later date.
He was very understanding and told me to give him a
call when all was fixed. So i took care of the issue
and re-scheduled and headed for the dyno. John was EXTREMELY
knowledgable about evry single aspect of the car and
its setup. The tuning process went like clock work without
a single hitch. I couldn't have dreamed of a better
dyno session than the one John performed. My car was
tuned for Great horse power and the reliability of a
daily driver. John has my vote as being by far, one
of the best Honda tuners in the country! He is worth
every single cent he charges PLUS MORE. Thanks so much
John for being a great tuner and such a friendly person.

Testimonial: Hello, my name is Ian Cabrera from
Miami Florida and I purchased a chipped ecu and OBDII
to OBDI harness from you guys last week around thursday.
I had requested certain specs to be added to the ecu
in order for my turbo gsr application to work properly
especially since I had a car show that same Saturday.
Well after connecting the ecu and harness to my vehicle,
I was amazed at how well the car started, idled, and
performed. It started right away without hesitation.
I asked for express delivery and within five minutes,
the confirmation for express delivery was emailed to
me. I just wanted to thank everyone at phearable.net
for their great customer service and professionalism
in dealing with customers. It will be my pleasure to
do business with you again and all my recommendations
go out to you. Keep up the great work!

I am very satisfied and I recommend your chips to anyone

Testimonial / Comments: I along with several
friends where I live can tell you and vouch 100% positive
feedback for Phearable.net maps. I've ordered TONS of
chips for different setups, for me and friends as well.
Several different setups I've ordered chips for in the
past include:
Stock Bseries setups with basic i/h/e. BUILT 85mm Gsr
Motor with LS crank, Built head P&P with Jun cams
and 13:1 compression. I originally planned to order
the chip for this setup and try it out and if it worked,
I'd use it to break in the motor and drive it to the
tuner, BUT the chip ran so well, that I daily drove
the car with it and NEVER tuned it on a dyno. I was
still able to get my EG hatch to run deep 12's with
this. STOCK Ls/vtec motor with Ram horn manifold and
GT35r. This chip was ordered for a friend, and he as
well ran deep 12's with Phearable chip. Turbo Single
cam with t3 T04e turbo @ 13 psi and ran high 12's. LS/vtec
with pr3 pistons and a JRSC @ 7psi. 13.1@105 on drag
radials.
All times vary of course on the driver and track prep,
but regardless ALL of the cars that had chips ordered
for the setup were all daily driven and never had an
issue with the tune.
I still have friends running Phearable chips till this
day from 2-3 years ago, daily!
Most of my friends have moved on now to different cars,
or fully built their motor and aimed for big numbers.
Regardless, NEVER had a problem with Phearable chips;
and I've ordered well over 30 of them.

For the services that john provides he is second to
none. to be able to take a list of mods and create a
basemap for someone over 500 miles away that works as
flawlesly as this one has says a lot about the experience
and talent that this man posseses. You don't really
realize how much simple bolt on parts affect the day
to day runability of your car until you see how it was
meant to run. I give everybody at phearable.net a big
two thumbs up and would recommend if you're reading
this now thinking about using thier services, there
is no reason to think about it anymore you've come to
the right place. Thanks guys :)

engine. Just AEM full intake. Awesome, ive recommended

After finishing my B18C engine build (cams, intake manifold,
overbore, milled head, JDM ITR pistons, etc.) felt the
car lacked some midrange power so I sent my P28 ECU
to Phearable for a little fine-tuning and they really
delivered. The car pulls so much harder all the way
to 9000 RPM - it's like a totally different machine
and it's all thanks to John and the guys at Phearable.
