Most aftermarket fuel pumps require more power then stock wiring configurations can handle. For this reason we recommend using a relay to power aftermarket fuel pumps larger then 255LPH.
You do not want to use a relay that cannot handle the amperage your fuel pump will pull as this can damage the relay and make it fail. We recommend using 14 gauge wiring.
The relay should have 4 or 5 pins on it. They are usually labeled 30, 85, 86, and 87.
Wiring Steps:
1. Wire pin 86 of the relay to a 12v trigger.
2. Wire pin 85 to a good ground on the car.
3. Run a dedicated power wire from your battery to pin 30
4. Run a wire from pin 87 to the positive wire on your fuel pump
